The Armour Institute
Transforming theological academia by bringing the seminary to the body of Christ and promoting open inquiry, viewpoint diversity, and theological discourse.
The Mission of The Armour Institute is to engage in spiritual discipline and an academically rigorous education in service and witness to God, the academy, and the world. We strive to cultivate an erudite community through a challenging theological curriculum, in strict adherence to the Holy Writ, and with attention to and reflection on context, in an effort to form and prepare leaders for the kingdom of God.
While we pride ourselves on preparing expositors of the Gospel of Jesus Christ for service as members of the clergy, we are especially focused on preparing scholars to be “polymathic theological academicians.” Read: Who We Are.
In this dispensation of time, the soteriological pursuit is the responsibility of every believer. Thusly, exegesis, hermeneutics, and apologetics are not only the foundational methods of study for seminarians, but for every believer in the testimony scripted in the Word of God. If we are to trust God, we must know Him, fully.
The Armour Institute welcomes those who aspire to serve humanity as members of the clergy, as well as those who desire to adhere to the admonishment Paul made to Timothy to “study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15.
